About Themistoklis (Themis) Zanidis
I'm a geopolitical analyst and consultant based in New York, with fifteen years as an officer in the Hellenic Navy behind me and a career since spent studying why the world moves the way it does. I hold an MA in political science from Rutgers University and an MSc in international relations from the University of Piraeus, worked with the UN Development Coordination Office in New York, and spent four years as a strategic analyst at the Institute of International Relations (IDIS) in Athens, researching strategic culture and Greek-Turkish relations.
Today I write and consult on U.S.-China competition, transatlantic security, and emerging domains like space and Arctic geopolitics, and I founded GeoSec Insights to bring that analysis to a wider audience.
